Articles
Articles are long-form, publishable content in Pindown—cover image, excerpt, slug, and optional extra tabs that embed other formats (pages, pinboards, canvases, timelines, kanban boards).
When to use articles
- Public writing — Blog posts, essays, and product updates with a polished reader experience.
- Author profiles — Publish under your handle (
@handle/slug) on the discover feed. - Rich embeds — Main article body plus supplementary tabs (e.g. a timeline or pinboard alongside the text).
Key features
- Publishing workflow — Draft → preview → publish (Core or Workspace plan for public publishing).
- Metadata — Title, excerpt, cover image, slug, tags.
- Embedded formats — Attach pages, pinboards, showcases, canvases, timelines, or kanban boards as tabs.
- Embedded pins — Control which linked pins are public when the article is published.
How articles relate to pins
Articles are not a replacement for pins. Use pins for structured blocks inside tabs, and use the article surface for narrative framing and distribution.
